Title: FAO Dazmond > help with polework
Post by: Ryan @ Transparent, Carlisle on April 06, 2010, 08:55:48 pm
i have a short pole, its about 1foot, extends to about 2foot

I dont normally use it, but on a couple of particular bungalows i do, it comes in handy, as the windows are just out of my reach. So it saves taking the steps off for 2 or 3 windows.

I always seem to mess it up [vertical pulls] there always seems to be something that goes wrong  ;D weather i leave a mess near the top frame, of leave a vertical line.

Do you have any tips on improving my technique..... if it makes any difference, i use unger ergotec

cheers

leave a tiny gap at top of the window when you soap up
start with a dry blade and pull, then tap squeegie on wet part of window and repeat

then just practice

as stu mac says.i detail with a dry microfibre in a clamp afterwards.normally i use my 8ft A FRAME for bungalows.i only use the short pole on big plate glass windows or raised up skylights on some flat roof extensions.

ill probably end up wfpoling everything once i get started with my new van and trolley set up! ;) ;)

best wishes
