Had a conversation with a local window cleaner today about conservatory gutters and whether or not window cleaners should clean them as part of the job.
Do you clean them or leave them?
There are very good arguments for and against so it got me wondering.

No, separate charge for that service,
-
no chance ;)
-
If the price is good on the job then yes i do. It only takes a couple of minutes
-
no chance, no freebies off me anymore, people take advantage. i do clean them as part of a roof clean though.
-
No way, that's a different service

Nope only with roofs
-
Yes. :o Why? I'm just an old softy. ;D
John.

The only time I do them is when I get the roof Job apart from that no way.
-
If cleaning the conny roof then i unblock the gutter so the water can escape but dont completely clean them - there is nothing worse than clean the whole conny top to toe and then the gutters left with gallons of tap water in em ::)

ill def second that.
if you start doing con gutters for free the next thing you know they will have you cutting the grass for free.

This has suprised me, more people than I expected clean them regulary. Although the none cleans have more to say ha ha

Guttering is wet weather work, windows is the bread and butter of your earnings. Save up guttering, roofs, cladding, etc for naff days if you want to keep window cleaning regular.
