I'm on the window cleaning forum, I think it is great.
I helped my son and his wife and 3 kids move in to a council house exchange over the weekend. It wasn't until today when we started to detect the smell properly, I realised the problem. the previous tennant had two dogs she kept in the kitchen/dining room.
Vinyl tiles stuck on ruberoid dampproof membrane on a concrete floor. She's been letting the dogs piddle on the floor at will for a couple of years I reckon. I pulled up the tiles today, the floor is swimming in dog's p (sorry). I'm not a council house tennant, but I guess my son can get some help. I'm so upset for him I'm going up to see the council in the morning. but I really dont know what is best to deal with this..
I have found the windowcleaning forum so good I decided to put this on here.
I realise this is not a citizens advice bureau or whatever, but I'm struggling for advice. Any help appreciated.

Hi PJ
Not very nice is it. If the council doesn’t help him out, you could get yourself some sanitizer from your local cleaning supplier. Explain what type of p*** it is and they will give you the best one, also you may want to use some deodorizer as well, just to freshen it up later on.
Hope this helps

Have a look at this from the carpet cleaning section a couple of weeks ago, sounds like just what you need.

Thanks garyj
I'll try and get some of this Solubac. In the meantime I shall be giving the Council trouble for passing this place as habitable, cos it ain't.
