Plus one here. Wet weather over the reservoirs seems to result in lower TDS at my tap a few days later.

just seem to be going throught a lot of resin lately, tested my water the other day and coming out of the di was 41, just shot up in about a week, so test tap and its a 98 this morning and my rain water is now 28 all a lot higher than usual,
just going to change all my resins on tuesday

have you thought of using a ro ?
i use one to feed into a static 1000 ltr ibc,
tap water is 290 plus , or brings it down to 004 , resin lasts ages,
at 98 tds ,you prob would not need resin, or if you use it would last ages, saving you a load in resin.
another benifit is the water in my van tank is allways 000, so no need to worry about it going up whilst working ;)

am think of buying at other di vessel and using old resin in it to help lower the tds before it goes in the tank, think this will be the easiest option

wish my tds out of the tap was that low ;D

Spoke to a friend of mine from the council...
He said that the mains pipe from my areas main reservoir is still f***ed from the frost back in january. They fix parts of it over night, as my RO system stays on at all times there is a good chance that when the council turn the water back on we are clearing any crap left in the pipes.
Not sure if this is the same any where else in the country.

i live in cornwall and all the water is stored in res near the clay pits, and you go up to them and they are all white becasue of the clay, so would hate to think how bad they are really
