Similar to  canvessing on Christmas day I would have thought. You would risk offending potential customers.

Personally I wouldn't canvass on a normal Sunday let alone at easter. Ppl might be more forgiving in the UK, but in Ireland you'd be told in no uncertain terms where to go!

of the subject, but maybe a good idea to stand out side the local garden centre with your leaflets on Bank hol Monday catching all them customers you are showing an interest again for their gouse exteria  ;D

Not on Easter Sun though, they are shut.  Retail are only ever closed two days a year.  Christmas Day and Easter Day.  Best stay in doors

Oh have a day off! Like it's been said, who wants to work any sunday? Let alone a bank holiday weekend one?

My reaction to a door knocker on that day would be

"do you know what day it is ?"

Although I sometimes do certain domestic jobs on a Sunday, I think Xmas day, Boxing day, and easter Sunday are not such a great idea.  Although religion has lost much of its power, you would risk alienating too many people IMO.

I have got some of my best paid domestics from canvassing on a Sunday. I wouldn't canvass on Easter Sunday, but i would knock yourself out from next week!

sundays is a good  day to knock

but prob not today although half the people on here saying dont have probably never done it to see

i would go and see

if they say no then fair enough what have you got to lose

the worst that can happen is someone says no its bank hols go away

As a Rule Sundays are a good day to canvass !
This Easter weekend has been good for us

Saturday we did over £350 (me and one canvasser)

I was mad enough to give it a go today(Sunday)..... saturdays results got me all excited.. :)...me and a canvasser went out..he was out from 11am till 5pm...did one  £15 custy

I did 2 hours.....got absolutely nothing...still it was fun to see the look on peoples faces....love it.
Even met a vicar and we had a good laugh about it :)

Guess it depends how you deal with people....everyone was fine with me and if they were a little assy i wished them a happy easter with a big smile..always works :)

If you want the business you will go out anytime....who cares what people you will never see again think...they are not going to pay for your next holiday are they?

I wouldn't personally have gone door knocking on easter sunday, but it didn't put off the bleedin JW's knocking on my door at 10.30 this morning.  >:(
