THINKING OF USING A MERLIN INSTEAD OF TWO DI VESSELS, my problem is from were I have to fill up at the moment I have to run hose through a alleyway to my van on the street.
would I be able to run it direct from the merlin into my van from the present way that I have to fill up ,or would it be better to put the merlin in my van and feed the water to the merlin [have got very good water pressure} and then run the disgharge pipe strait into the street drain? run the water that is produced into 1000 litre storage tank +a 250 litre storage tank through di vessels.
ANY INFO ON HOW LONG THE MEMBRANES WILL LAST USING 750 LITRES A DAY WOULD ALSO BE VERY HELPFUL ADVICE.
or just a average running cost per year{ got to be cheaper than using two di vessels with a tds reading of around 265/275 {hard water area}

hi at present I run Merlin into storage tank my Merlin is about 25ft from the tap,I work it on tap pressure alone at present (during the night when pressure increases) this gives me between 500 and 800 ltrs between 8pm and 6am I them pump water to van down an alley way about 25mtrs, the only thought about your idea would be the possibility of the hose freezing in the winter (my hose from tap to Merlin is buried under the garden and insulated but I still bring the RO in if a freezing is predicted.

your using merlin and making 800 ltrs in 10 hours?do you have a really bad water pressure because im making 700ltrs straight into van tank in 4 hours

that meens your production = 4,200 per 24 hrs I though it could only produce at full speed 2,500?
Ya just on 40psi thats why I only turn on after 8pm,
at present it's enough but I do see the need in the near future of fitting a pump to boost pressure.

thinks thats with low pressure. i was told the better the pressure the quicker it will produce.
i does waste a bit but i was also using two di vessels at a cost of 300 per month,times that by 6 = 1,800 compared with a water bill of 300.
turnover 200 per day with 700ltr x 5 days a week take off the expenditure of new filters and membranes and you still come out better off.

THINKING OF PUTTING A GAS HEATER IN THE VAN IN WINTER,
are they easy portable or is there alot of messing about involved to disconnect it? with moving water it would take a long while for it to freze.

easy to connect and disconnect best to put in a gararge if not can go in any room in house as long as you have inlet and outlet pipe long enough to your van to feed but easy peesy to attach etc etc
