Title: Rinse with water only ?
Post by: brianbarber on April 02, 2010, 07:50:41 pm
hi folks
I have read on various posts in the past that some guys use just tap water to rinse, ie no fibre and fabric rinse.
I've wondered whether I can just use water to rinse and if so are there any pre sprays that would need to use F & F ?
Thanking you in advance

Mr B

Although there will be exceptions, the rule of thumb is that freshwater rinsing is only suitable for detergent free pre-sprays.

Detergent pre-sprays are not normally free rinsing. A freshwater rinse may well flush out the soils, but leave a detergent residue that could help promote resoiling or other problem. This is one reason why a rinse agent would be needed.

Safe and happy cleaning :)
