Title: What is the Swift?
Post by: SherwoodCleaningSe on April 02, 2010, 12:20:57 am
The link at the top of the page doesn't seem to be working, for the new ionic swift carbon fibre poles.  Just wondering if any one knows what they are and if they will be able to challenge the sl-x for top pole.  It just sends you to this page which at the moment is blank.

Always interested to hear about new products who ever they are from, but will only by the best I can afford, so does anyone have any weights, lengths, cost, pictures, videos or rigidity ratings.

Simon.

Ta.  Still a bit expensive and a little heavy.  I wonder how they will wear though.

Hi Simon, I think these were the ones I tried out at Windex. They are very light, are quite rigid and seem very well built.

The guy said they would wear very well because of the way the carbon fibre is weaved. Well , he would say that wouldn't he. But it did seem a bit more potential for lasting a long time.

There was another range of small sub 35' poles they had as well, which, again, would give Gardiner's a run for their money. I can't remember the name of that range. They had orange clamps.

I Will say i have an ionics 35ft ergo lite which is used 6 days per week by myself or my lads & in the 5 years i have had it, ive replaced 1 section due to wearing it out.

Excellent value for money long term, although expensive - but you pay for what you get i suppose.

i think i will be buying either the swift or the Glyder, just cant decide which size 35 or 45ft, but will definatly be buying one in the next few weeks.

Its the glyder, it seems to be a very good pole, if you change the brush head for a lighter one then it is the same as the slx, if its does not jam after a few days of use like the slx's do then it will be a better pole.

Ionics should bring out a 21' glyder pole as well, they will then sell loads

Used my 44ft facelift with ionics gooseneck and brush today instead of the sl brush and I was a lot quicker on a nursing home I do....
