Hi all, im going to be starting work on my wfp van system soon and the first job on the list is to Protectakote the floor.

Could any one tell me the cheapest place to buy it from?

Also does it come in different colours?

i think its the same price - give or take a few quid.

it comes in every colour - blue or black looks nice

just got mine from here. When I did my first van I got the kit but realised what a rip off it is !!
only extras were a cheap roller, brush and scourer. Oh and I didn't use anywhere near 4 litres either !!
I've bought 3 x 1ltr cans to be on safe side. just get rest of stuff from B&Q

I'd use the colour most similar to your van colour. My van is white, so I used white. It does show the dirt mind.

Black would just look like that underguard stuff you paint over welding work.

i went with grey, my van is white. I think unless you went black, it will always look a bit messy once you get a few wet days and leaks under your belt.

make sure you van floor is 100% clean. I did mine last year and a tiny bit has pealed up  ::)

I did do my old van with some cheep as chips standard floor paint with sand in it for grip. £20 a tin I think I got it from waterboy (member on here) It worked much better imo.

But protectorcote is good as well once the smell goes. lol

my van floor is coated in WICKS floor paint, its still fine 2 years on

under 20 quid a tin, i only used a little of it, still have it for my next van

I think Matt and MrD are probably right. Proctectacote is very expensive for what it is. I'm sure you could use something else.

I dont't get hardly any water in the back of my van anyway, just a few drips.

I probably wouldn't use it again as it's only good for grip as opposed to the shiny vehicle paint. Which by the way doesn't rust on the outside and is open to all the elements. I think it's a myth that your vehicle will rot just from a bit of water or a few holes drilled.
