My swivel adapter from gardiners has broke on me this morning,It is so much more difficult without it,Did not realise how much easier it made the job.does anyone know if i can get something from b&q or somewhere that will do the job?

-
yeh thought i would have to do that.cheers lammy

I buy mine in bulk from Vast Janitorial Supplies I think. Normally buy ten at a time. I drill and put a bolt through the middle. I can't work without one anymore.
Wish they could bring out a better, stronger one.
-
I have made my own much stronger and simple i`ll get some pics put on ;)
-
Lammy- how have you found the uni clean?
-
I have several that I converted from stanley paint pad handles. They can be locked in position if not needed, and are as tough as old boots.
I couldn't work without one now either.

cheers for all the replies.I ordered a couple from gardiners soon after my original post, I too find it really difficult working without it,This afternoon was a right pain, you have to try and get square on to the window, often impossible.

is this the place, dave willis? http://www.vastsupplies.co.uk/Plastic-Swivel-Connector-p-3883.html

-
Dont know what you boys do with 'em...
Dave, I'm still using the one i got off you last year :o
-
Dam, did I let one get away?
-
me neither.do not think i have been rough with it,i was just cleaning an upstairs window and it split on the really thin bit just below the ball joint, made even thinner having a hole through it.

Yeh took it when you wernt looking! ;)
Chopsie, is the one that broke a Gardiners one? If it was , give them a ring and they might send you a freebie?
-
yes it was.only got it couple of months ago.I have ordered 2 more off them.will see how these last.
-
Ok mate , worth a try to get a freebie, I did a couple of months ago when something else they supplied broke :)
-
make a hole through the side and put a thin bolt throgh it, this stops it coming apart
-
the one i just had was tight as a ducks anus.I tried pulling it apart and had no chance,so did not bother drilling it
