How to post pictures:

There are two ways of posting pictures on this forum:

1 - Posting pictures from your own computer. For example, your own pictures of your own van or your own jobs. When doing this, please make sure that the pictures aren't too big. 640 x 480 is probably the maximum size.

2 - Posting pictures that are already on the Internet. For example, you may have seen a picture on another web site that you think may be of interest to other people.

I'll explain both processes. They are both very simple.

1 - Posting your own pictures from your computer.

These pictures will appear at the bottom of your post.

i - Make sure you know where the picture is. (I always put them on my desktop so I can find them easily.)

ii - Start making your post using the "Reply" button.

iii - Below the dialog box you will see :  Additional Options... Click on this.

iv - You will see "Attach" and a "choose file" button. Click the button

v - Navigate to your chosen picture file and select it. The name of the file will then appear next to the button.

Repeat this as often as you wish. Your reply and the selected pictures will be uploaded when you finish.

2 - Posting pictures that are already on the Internet. I guess that you ought to get permission. I'll leave that to you.

These pictures will appear wherever you place them in your reply.

i - Find the picture you want to post.

ii - Right click on the image and choose "Copy image URL" from the drop down menu. (This doesn't always appear. If the image is part of a java applet, you might not be able to do it.) This will copy the address of the picture file onto your clipboard. You'll paste it from here later in stage v.

iii - Return to the "Post Reply" page.

vi - Click the "Insert Image" button ((http://www.cleanitup.co.uk/smf/Themes/classic/images/bbc/img.gif)) (It's the one below the I button) This will insert a code which looks a bit like {IMG} {/IMG}

v - Place your cursor between the brackets and paste the URL code that you copied in stage i. (Paste by using cntrl + v)

Have fun with it!!!!

Thanks for that info Wally - very useful so here goes.

My original van-mount car system some five years ago.  It actually worked well.  4 more drums in the rear passenger foot wells.   It got me started at minumum cost.  And....  I got the 25ft Omnipole inside the car.

Your turn now, m8. There are no excuses any more.

If you can post a link, you can post a pic.

HEY, P.D.R ...

There've been so many things that have held us down
But now it looks like things are finaly comin' around, yeah
I now we've got a long, long way to go, yeah
And were we'll end up, I don't know

But we wont let nothing hold us back
We're gonna get ourselves together, ha
We're gonna polish up our act, yeah
And if you've ever been held down before
I know that you refuse to be held down any more

Yeah yeah

(Don't you let nothin', nothin')
Nothin' stand in your way
And all ago
(Watch up and listen yeah)

That's right
To everyone I say, everyone I say about it

Aint no stoppin' us now
That's right
We're on the move
You said it
We've got the groove

Thanks PDR

That was a few years back - don't use a hose reel now.  I keep a trolley close to where I'm working - just right for domestics.  Dragging a hose round domestics became a real pain and I just didn't have the patience - it was the only thing I got stressed over, even when I changed to micro hose.
