is it just me that sees the irony in this post?

2hrs max .... £60,  ::) ::)

i would have thought most carpet cleaners would not work 2hrs for just £60

mike i dont understand your reply. i had some one lined up at £60 quid to do the job but he let me down.
if it costs me  a bit more to do the job then fair enough.
the guy who came to price it up estimated that it would take 2 hours.
  the big picture is that we will probably have it cleaned 4 times a year so take it all into account i think it would be a worth while account to have on the books.
                                       best regards david.

David, Ask your self this Why did he let you down?
Any , perhaps I should say most capable c/c would be expecting a bit more that £60 for 2 hrs , bearing in mind travelling, and all the other expenses , so really not a good account imho, having said that the chances are you will find sombody :-\
I quoted for a bars upholstery a little while ago, £650.00  guess what the owner rang and asked if I could do it for a lot less :o ::) 2 of his custys said they would do it for £150 cash ;D  bye the way they were decorators ::)

Steve,  I meant no insult in  my post I was just making a point about the price.

a 2 hr job with travel is nearer 3hrs so the job is worth £20 an hour not a great deal especially if its a commercial job which can be hard work.

glad it all got sorted out :) :)
