Title: How many sq yds per hour
Post by: Simon Gerrard on March 29, 2010, 08:42:15 am
We've got part of a job that we can only do with portable machines :'(
How many sq yds / metres per hour can you clean with a twin vac Diamond Back or similar? The areas will be clear'ish of furniture.
I'm guessing 30 - 40 but it's been years since we did our past portable job.

Depends how dirty the carpet is , unless you just go over it once

If its commercial I find I am continually sucking dirt

it hasn't been cleaned for well over a year and is quite dirty, but not filthy.

Assuming the operator can work unimpeded 30-40 is fine but if over 200psi the machine will need refilling twice in an hour .

Hi Simon,
The level of soiling, type of soiling and the type of carpet will alter how much you can / will clean per hour.  With that machine i would say 30 to 50 sqm per hour. Get rid of that porty and get yourself a 500psi triple vac porty & you will increase the area by at least 25% per hour.

Richie.
