Glue

 ;D ;D ;D

I would use 2 part acrylic adhesive. That's what the clamps are stuck on with. Think you'll get it from halfords etc.

I would use araldite mate.
I used 'cold weld' for my landing net for fishing as the threaded barrel had come off the carbon pole end, never had a problem since, I did this 4 years ago.

i use a waterproof tape, just wrap it round the thread and push in

it lasts better than glue :o :)

I keep a tube of superglue in the van at all times, usually a spot of that does the trick. Araldite would be better if you are not in a hurry.

Is it spinning right round - like a record player?

no, but is slipping like a scratch dj.

I used araldite on monday morning, today I notice it is slipping again  ::)
