Title: niggly problem
Post by: gwrightson on March 27, 2010, 09:04:26 am
I have my engine exaust from my t/m going through the floor of my van, the problem is when the t/m is running on idle  it vibrates against the floor creating a horrible rattling noise, nothing to worry about I know apart from the fact its annoying.
Can anyone suggest a resolve to this ? i was thinking along the lines of wrapping in some sort of material that does not burn, a friend suggested  a heat proof expanding foam but i,m reluctant to use because i dont want something that will set  for removal of t/m for servicing purposes.

any suggestions Geoff

make the hole a little bigger. I've not got a TM but can the exhaust be loosened and moved slightly so it does not touch the floor? Exhaust wrap from Halfords might do the trick
