just bought a di bottle and a bag of resin, opend the top but trying to pour the resin in is hard as the pipe that runs from the top to the bottom is in the way. any ideas? ive made a makeshift funnel with paper

Wash a plastic milk carton and then cut it in half, hold it by the handle and scoop the resin and tap it out of the small opening at the top.
-

Your riser tube has come away from the vessel head, this is ok, they just push-fit together. So, take the tube out of the vessel & push it back into the head.
Fill the vessel approx 4/5 with resin, then fill it with water (with the head still off). Put the tube & head (fixed together) back into the vessel, centre it & screw it down.
WARNING------ Be very careful not to cross-thread the vessel head, it may take several attempts to get the head & tube centered. I've been doing it 6 years & it still takes me a few tries!! ;D
