Are they any good??
Has anyone got one and if so do they recoomend them?
-
I use a vikan sill brush and think it is very good. I would like to see a lighter version though.
-
Do you change brush heads or have a seperate pole with sill brush on??
-
Use the same brush for everything. I have one but it's heavy. We've been asking for years for someone to make one that's practical and light enough to use all day, but it seems to fall on deaf ears.
Can't think why - if there was a brush that would clean glass, frames and sills without having to bend yourself into wierd contortions to get the bristles onto upstairs sills and was a light as even the standard Vikan, I reckon it would be a winner.

The problem I've found is that I'm knocking the bottom window frame of the side open as this sticks out, and scratch is with the brush head. The actual window frame at the bottom is OK as the brush head is higher than the bottom of the window frame and as ther glass is slightly recess compared to the bottom of the frame I don't hiot the frame with brush head - but do on bottom frame openers. I hope I've explained that OK!!
I thought I sill brush would stop this happening

I use a sill brush for everything just wish there was a lighter version

This may sound a silly question but are they really much better on sills then standard brushes?? Do the reaaly scrub the sills well??
What was the main reason you used them? Knocking frames wth standard brush or better cleaning?
-
I find it better for cleaning as you can give the sills a good scrubing without adjusting the angle adapter of the brush
-
Did you have any problems with scratching frames with standard brush head when trying to do sills (if you ever used a standard brush head)
-
there was a rumour once that gardiners was making a light sill brush.
I never heard an update to this i could email alex i suppose, he doesn't come on here anymore, think too many people were digging him about slx-pole. ::)

you can get a angle grinder and trim alot of the Vikan brush's
you will get them down to a lightweight brush
of course if you are worried what the customer will say when they your brush 20 ft in the air, then this isnt for you

I changed my brushes due to my oval vikan brushes leaving red marks in the frames and sill from the rubber round the edges.
