Do you find it easy? I keep getting more and more work and really can't cope anymore. This morning - can you do my conservatory roof please? Didn't have the time but did it anyway when I finished it was "can you do my daughters house now please it's just down the road and I've unlocked the gate for you." I can't turn them down. Five new ones this week alone and I'm dumping like crazy. Get home and there's a phone message for a gutter clean.
Too much is even worse than not enough - honestly.

my heart bleeds for you lol ;D ;D

Welcome back Dave ;D
-
If you realy don't need the work just price it up and if they accept then happy days ;D
-
have u not thought of taking someone on, prehaps get a other van on the road
-
i have been full for years now
what i do is only price up jobs that are big houses, then they get a really high price, some are silly prices if they are out of my way
-
it was like that for me last summer, did my head in, but then lost/got rid of £5k since. ;D
-
Picked one up last week - her next door neighbour was a windowcleaner and the house opposite has two windys living there :o
Nasty dog poo infested job though - going to be hard to get rid off 'cos the woman belongs to some religious group that I seem to clean for.
Anyone who likes wading through poo can have all mine for nowt.

Ask her to clean it up, some people dont think, I would be red faced if I was getting dog poop on my hands clothes shoes ect. and I am not paid enough to deal with that

Got rid of one last week £18 job too. Customer just can't understand why I don't adore her dog and the crud that comes out of its backside.
They just don't seem to understand how unpleasant it is to smother yourself in it.
I have others who are so clean you would never think they had an animal on the premises.

i wouldnt moan if i were you!just get rid of your crap infested work and pain in the bum underpriced(if you have any!)

im constantly refining my round at this time of year.ive had a overhaul and put 80% of my prices up.got rid of a few bad payers/messers/infested ratholes etc!
lost 4 due to price rises but picked up 3 better priced ones!
i feel much better after a clearout and my round is in better shape!! ;) ;D ;D
ive got quite a few conny roofs/fascias/soffit cleans to do but i dont usually do them there and then.i book them in or do them next time i do the windows unless im not busy!(not very often!)
-
;D just opened George and I have £500 of work booked in for tomorrow, the forecast is rain, still haven't done last weeks work. Obviously I can't shift that kind of work in a day (well unless that Ryan chap gives
me a hand) I think the time has come to review my work load.

Whats your secret Dave??

I don't have a secret, I do the best job I can, take my time probably take a loss on all the first cleans. Do a good job and the recommendations just flood in. I spend extra time on the front door and cill and get it gleaming. That's about it.
Nothing much happened in the first year - just plodded along with the Mrs canvassing a bit then it suddenly snowballed. I leafleted about 100 houses and picked up very little. Have a couple of free lines on the internet search sites (they usually bring in the crap) and an ad in the residents handbook which brings in the odd one or two.
For domestic work I think it's a trust thing. Once the custys get to know you they start recommending you to their friends and family. I don't have to do a thing - just turn up and clean.

Dazmond, you are probably right I'll have to do more wet weather work. I stopped just after three today when the rain came. :-\
