Title: read this if you want to expand your business...no BS!
Post by: jdemarco on March 23, 2010, 11:31:11 am: Napoleon hill book 'think and grow rich' and Dale carnegie 'how to win friends and influence people..... i dont really need to say anymore apart from get these and read them cover to cover and do exactly what they say, they are undoubtably nothing short of genius.

This post was inspired by IC Walker 'i dont know if i can be bothered anymore'. My heart goes out to you mate thats why you need to read these books. They will change your outlook on life and business.
If anyone is interested i think i should be able to send an ebook of think and grow rich to anyones email. Just send me your email add on here and ill send it across to you. Ive only got how to win friends and influence people on a media player so not sure if i can send that aswell but ill try for anyone who is seriously interested.

Just trying to look out for everyone.

Still now 50 years later doing whats left of chemical industry and the largest job on Teesside , if not the north east. Books work

I wouldn't adopt it all as some of it is a bit slushy and many customers might feel that youare going over the top a bit (remembering customers' birthdays etc.). However, there was enough good stuff in there to leave me feeling that it was well worth the read.

As an afterthought, I wonder how those authors would feel about their works being distributed without them receiving any royalties. Maybe the stuff in the books needs to be put into practice as far as the authotrs are concerned too :) .

LOL...there dead. these books were origanally written in the 1930s. There main concern was to help people achive success. im sure they would be happy me sharing this. jay

My reading the book pre-dated me going self-employed so I puts bits of it to use in my non business life. Although bits seemed too work OK, I sometimes felt like a phoney. Maybe I should have applied it for longer. I had concerns about whether it was right or not to be manipulative. Perhaps if I had continued, it would have become more part of me and felt more natural eventually. I stopped practising it because I hit some bad problems in my life and I put the shutters up for a while in order to self protect. Perhaps it's time for me to get another copy (the old one disappeared years ago) and re-read. Hopefully I have enough maturity these days to not misuse the info within.

I think it might be worth another read for you then i read dale carnegies twice but i still need to read it agin cos my concentration span isnt great so it doesnt all sink in...id rather watch the movie lol. The one im sending everyone is napoleon hills think and grow rich its slightly different a bit more entertaining cos napoleons a bit eccentric but funny. send me ur email and ill send it you.

Oh right i dont know mate. you might need a certain software to open it. AJ had a problem and had to open it in winrar. If all else fails its well worth a trip to the library, thats where i got my first copy, i get a load of books from ebay there all pretty cheap. keep trying pal

Great ill search for this book and read it thanks. Napoleon hill and dale carnegie were the first to ever write about how to become successful. Napoleon hill worked with andrew carnegie the 1st self made billionaire in america whos soul aim before he died was to tell people how he made his billions and how anyone can do it. So he set napoleon hill the task of researching this concept and napoleon hill spent over 20yrs researching and working alongside 500 wealthy and successful people of all backgrounds and this book is the result of the 20yrs of research. I would imagine that all authors of success books use napoleon as there god and inspiration and think and grow rich is the bible. Its really powerful stuff alot of psycology and basically the gyst of it is.................................... you are what you think!

You have to read it with an open mind.

After being advised by jasonl to get the secret by rhonda burn i bought the dvd and the book and OMG its great it teaches you everything thats in think and grow rich but like jason says more modern and in much simplified terms. So i definately advise you all to watch the dvd you can probably get most of it on youtube.
I always thought why somedays you have a really bad day...all day but some days you have a great day...all day and how great would it be if every day was a good day. Well the secret tells you what it is and how to train yourself to having great days everyday for the rest of your life. You can accomplish what you once thought was unaccomplishable.

Why do poor people just get poorer and rich people just keep getting richer its cos rich people know the secret and poor people dont!
Its so simple i wish i knew the secret when i was 16!!

I dont have to share this with you but i want to cos its life changing and something this powerful should not be a secret.

i would bet alot of money that most successful rich people that you know of have at one time read this book or one similar.
On the pages of this book it teaches you to have unlimited of whatever you want in life...anything.
Know is it really worth not knowing what it says just cos you dont believe it will work for you....in fact what you are saying is dead right it wont work for you cos you said it wont and think it wont so it wont...unless you believe and want it badly enough. Just give it a go... you got nothing to lose.

Great stuff mate. Im on my 3rd time reading it cos it is tough going at times and theres things you miss the first time.
When you do some of the things you feel stupid cos its not normal behaviour...but most of the important things to do no one has to know your doing them cos its to yourself in your own mind.
I would say good luck mate...but there is no luck involved its all down to you.

I have infact read quite a few of these type of books, well the first chapter / few pages anyway.

You are right it's not for me.

Richard Branson's book, I found to be particularly irritating.

Yeh i understand what you mean stan...but did you try it first. i thought like you and i tried it on random people and they love it...they love you and they dont even no why.

My reading the book pre-dated me going self-employed so I puts bits of it to use in my non business life. Although bits seemed too work OK, I sometimes felt like a phoney. Maybe I should have applied it for longer. I had concerns about whether it was right or not to be manipulative. Perhaps if I had continued, it would have become more part of me and felt more natural eventually. I stopped practising it because I hit some bad problems in my life and I put the shutters up for a while in order to self protect. Perhaps it's time for me to get another copy (the old one disappeared years ago) and re-read. Hopefully I have enough maturity these days to not misuse the info within.
I think it might be worth another read for you then i read dale carnegies twice but i still need to read it agin cos my concentration span isnt great so it doesnt all sink in...id rather watch the movie lol. The one im sending everyone is napoleon hills think and grow rich its slightly different a bit more entertaining cos napoleons a bit eccentric but funny. send me ur email and ill send it you.
