I put mine in the back seat well, in a larger bucket,
Where do you keep yours?

on the van floor with its lid on - think it was Ettore - yellow anyway - I find the lid brilliant and the bucket doesn't have to be carefully placed to avoid leaks :)

On the roof between ladder rungs

Exactly the same here. Always have done.
As long as there's things in it you're fine.
A bucket with just water sloshes everywhere.

Thats why the crew of the Titanic should have known there were iceburgs ahead, no swell in the ocean.

I work alone so put my bucket of water in the passenger footwell (I have a 2-seater van). So long as I use a rectangular bucket no more than half full and keep my tools in it, then it doesn't spill. Laying a scrim on top of it helps stop spillage too.

Over the years ive tried putting my bucket in the boot of the car and in the front passenger side on a couple of occasions went round a corner too fast car full of water, these days i put it through the last couple of rungs of my ladder with tools and liquid in it, but one thing i do notice if your water is quite soapy if you are going fast on a windy day the car behind seems to back right off as the suds seem to fly towards them. This is a good way to stop them from driving up your a*se ( bum ) . But you loose a bit of water when you go over those speed humps , one day i left my bucket at the front of the car and ran over it ..one squashed bucket

used to keep mine in the ladder rungs, got a van now, sharp braking with the sunroof open is not advised if you have it on the ladder
