Anyone tried it? I have a really bad inside job where the owner smokes like a chimney - really struggled last time.

In this situation I use fairy & plenty of it. It's the only time I use it mind as I normally use GG3 or squeegee off but these really struggle with smoke tar.
Best tip for this type of filth is to soak each window first. Soap it up for a couple of minutes then go back, soap up again & blade it off. ;)

Trf in a spray bottle. Will work. I also find these gas heaters with the metal dome on top also leave a grey film on the glass.

I used the customers fairy - had yellow suds streaming off the glass but still left a load of residue. Had to microfibre the glass wet and blade again. Pretty disgusting really when you don't smoke yourself. :-X

I have one customer, modern large bungalow. They're not short of money either but to be honest they live like pigs, literally!!!
The house inside is disgusting & they both never have a fAg out of their mouths. They brought 2 girls up in this too.
Anyway, the windows inside, as you can imagine are also disgusting, it's only because it pays really well that I do it. I have to make it my last job when I do the insides as my water & equipment are black after!!
I used to have to do them 2 to 3 times each to get them right but last time I did it as I described above & it was so much better. I think the soaking made a big difference.

you need to use sugar soap it is fantastic at removing nicotine works even better if you mix it in hot water.
apply to a couple of panes then go back to the first one re-applicate and squeegy off as normal
you can mix it in a spray bottle aswell (mixes a bit easier if you get the liquid type and not the powder)
sugar soap also works great on greasey windows aswell ;D

The best thing to do when asked to do the insides on these sort of places is turn them down...it takes ages to get them up properly and just isn't worth the hassle.

Sugar soap as said before, spray it on, leave 2 mins and wipe it off, was shocked the first time I tried it, brings smoke stain plastic up a treat, go to b&q and use there own stuff cheap as chips so you add a little extra to water ;)
Charge well for it
