Ahh I remember now what comes next. ;D
Another guy used to post like this.
In half an our or so Ryan will let slip that he wasn't exactly on his own but working with another guy or two.
Anyone remember Platinum NW? On this forum he was a director of a major construction company. On another forum he is into finance and car sales.
Still reckon JDMarco was the best. ;D

i think a few porkies are bein told methinks unless most were fronts only and you missed a few windows and doors(thinking bathroom windows/frosted doors etc!).
i knew a guy who charged £2 a house a few years ago but missed windows out if there was no birdmuck on them/no door/bathroom windows cleaned.one dirty scrim and would brag about cleaning 40 houses a day!(thing is it was only £80!) ::) ::)foolish and crazy!!no sills cleaned either.cowboy.
if your doing all them houses a day ryan your not doing a proper job and rushing and your in danger of having an accident on the ladders with all that running around esp if its wet.
much better to go at a steady economical pace and charge a bit more and do a proper job! ;)
-
10 house;s an hour or boats god i would be lucky to get 5 done and i am wfp looks like i will have to take my spinage tomorrow ;D ;D ;D ;D

BIG YAWNNNNNNNNNNNN
here we go again, >:( >:( >:( >:(

on one of my estates i can clean 30 houses without moving my van. I can clean up to 7 an hour on there, mostly 3 bed houses with an average of 8 windows and two doors, all have excellent access and the odd one is a front only but some also have conservatories. I dont miss any windows and i wash and rinse well. The fact i have a 100 metre hose was one of the best bits of advice i got on here. ;D
-
With my 650l backpack I never move all day. ;D
-
I must admit the model village link was hilarious.

who works on their own nowadays? C'mon, safety - need ladders footed sometimes you know ;D
Okay, maybe i shouldnt of assumed, but does anyone think those numbers are possible, single handed?
-
terraced houses will give you ten an hour in my opinion, if not more

The most jobs I've ever managed in a single day was 28 - and I was pushing myself. It was less compact than the work listed though. That's not to say it can't be done but I would question whether they were done to a decent standard. I once knew a guy who could fly around the houses (not literally LOL). He used to get a lot of complaints about missed windows and he had more accidents in a year than I had in 14 years.

The fronts can be done quickly, but I find the rear of the properties - and having the odd chat - is what slows you down. Wor Lass (whose not the quickest) and I can do five terraced houses an hour (approximately) and it works out nice since each one is £8 to £10 (if they have a small conservatory) each.
I WFP the 'tops', conservatories and any awkward windows, and she trads the ground floor. If we could do 10 an hour, that would be £80 an hour, which is good money, but alas, we only do five an hour.
Tosh...£40 an hour is still great money,ok you probably dont do it 8 hours a day for five days a week, but when it is there it is allways welcome. :)
-
do u work with ur mrs then Tosh? ;)
when i was married i never went any where wiv out my wife, that worked out ok 4me,
cause i never had 2kiss her goodbye ;D
-
Well this has cheered me up before work. ;D
Also makes me grateful of my day ahead only having about 7 or 8 houses and being a decent wage.
-
a bit of sunshine and were always gonna get a bit of banter! 40 ish houses a day from 8 to 12, yeah could be possible, depends on close proximity of cussies. im sure quite a few of us on here could do that pace for a few hours if we need to, then for the next day take it easy! i do similer towards the end of day when i need to pick kids up!!
i got one day a month where i earn very, very well, but couldnt keep that pace up every day! im glad to say it is now quickly becoming 2 days of good earnings due to new cussies!! : :) :) :) :)
All the best lads this year! :) :) :) :)
Off to work now!!!!!

Life's too short ;)

for £46 a hour I would not call that insane, I would say that very well priced work

Sounds pretty good to me as well. I do have work where I can earn more than that but most of it is less.
-
£46 is a very good wage for an hour, you've got me wrong!
However, cleaning that many houses in such a short time, seems to be going "Flat out"
My point is; If I were to earn £46 an hour, I would like to earn it at a more leisurely pace.
-
I would rather work "flat out" for 4 or 5 hours a day, at that rate, then get myself home ;D
-
Hey it's a free country!
Do what you like! :)
-
;D always have!
-
I reckon this is Matt Bateman ( undercover ) winding you all up ;D ;D ;D He does 440 houses a day and is home by 3 in the afternoon, AND had 14 tea stops in the day. He only moved his van once. Tosh is even faster ;)
