Title: T CUT
Post by: Andrew46 on March 21, 2010, 10:09:48 pm
I've heard that this can leave very tiny scratches on uPVC.  Has anyone else noticed this?  Would you recommend it for uPVC?

Thanks

Considering this actually removes a thin layer of paint of cars, I wouldn't use it on plastic frames.

That is what a cream PVC cleaner will do too, it's basically the same stuff. T-Cut actually make a UPVC cleaner, I have a tube of it in the van.

0000 wire wool is brilliant on stubborn marks too.

I was recommended to use CIF sparingly a few years back.  Works really well and as far as I can see hasn't taken the top shiny UPVC layer off.

Frames I've used it on a long time back do not appear to have suffered in any and still look good.

However.....   Use with great care and only when everything else has failed.!!

If it doesn't scratch the Upvc, it will almost certainly take the finish off. ie dull appearance as apposed to shiny.

I don't as a rule, but if you feel the need to then make sure it is non-abrassive.
