Hi guys, wonder if anyone can help. cleaned a carpet 2-3 weeks ago where a puppy had left urine marks in around 20 spots. The client had blotted most of these at the time and also used a urine neutraliser on them. when we cleaned it was perfect, a week later still perfect, now at least 10 of the blackish marks have returned. this is on a nylon carpet and was hot water extracted with aggitation. is this normal to reappear and can it be stopped? ::)

I would lift the carpet, and check the underlay, and replace if damaged.
Repeat cleaning process and speed dry.

Vici If the returning spots are black in colour, that would tell me they are possibly protein stains ! you should remove these completely with an enzyme digester ! chemspec make the best around its called enzall
but urine staining is generally permant, but wouldnt dry black or re appear block but more like a yellowish colour! hope this helps

How old is the house? The floorboards may been shellac stained.
Otherwise check for mould
