It looked a clean set up,
dont know too much about the prochem tm,
seemed like a reasonable price for what you got.

Problem is a lot of cc's are quiet at moment and wont want to part with
their hard earned.

Looks like it didn't sell, as it's been relisted with a lower "buy-it now" price

the blazer is on a par with the spitfire, and the van looks tidy, show some interest and then make an offer of say 5k and i think he'd go for it.

5k for a tidy van and good truck, buddy bar gaaaiiinn

5k loan over 3 years is about £40 a week.

after 2 months you could sell your own set up and van, money from that into an account that pays the loan off. simples ;) he who dares

got to be worth 8k+ and the 421 is a nice machine, + its in a merc.

The van is 8 years old , wings/bonnet on pic different shade to rest of van,  older merc vans= potential massive bills at any time.

The TM  is not low hours at 2300, and is going to be downhill from now , they were asking 11k for this a few weeks ago, it  is simply not worth the 7 being asked for it.

The van is going to be a money pit at that age as jason said.

Maybe the machine will be ok mind you but still lots of hours and bet he will accept a cash deal..

2300 hours on a truckmount is NOT alot.  Truckmounts are designed to do high hours which is why they use the components that they do.  The weakest link on any truckmount that is not liquid cooled is the air cooled engine however, as i have said before i know of 16hp air cooled engines that have done over 10,000 hours.

I got my TM in Sept, had 3200 hrs on clock, i dropped oil filters etc,
replaced plugs and have just recently done same again after3-400 hrs,
runs sweet !!

Never any probs once i got used to it, had a hard life before me, and after origonal owner, who looked after it well.

Treat them like a baby and they will run for ever, done all my own servicing so far.

9/10 if you change the oil between 50 - 100 hrs and the oil filter every other oil change, air filter 200 - 300 hours, plugs 300 - 400 hours.....the engine will then give you year after year of trouble free running.  Also make sure that the cooling fins at the front of the engine are clear allowing plenty of cool air to enter the engine.

That's intresting..i change the oil filter every time i change the oil, every 50 hrs. I won't run clean oil through a dirty filter. I know HM recommend oil at 50 hrs and filter every other, each to there own.

Hi Paul, thats even better to do that.  One thing i do always do is when i have emptied the old oil out i put about 1/4 litre in and let that run straight back out.  Also, every 300 hours run some engine flush through the old oil before doing oil & filter change.  I was told that it is advisable to do a engine flush every other oil/filter change to keep the engine as clean as a whistle.  Cleaner engines will run smoother and also cool better.

I have ran Merc vans with truckmounts in for over ten years, some with well over 200,000 miles on them.
As long as you keep them serviced and look after them, they will run forever.
Merc spare parts are a lot cheaper than you think.

There is not a better van out there for truckmount use.

Cheers

got to second that, 200,000 on a merc, you've only just run it in.

It is not mileage which kill vehicles, it is age and moisture.

An 8 year old van simply is not viable in my opinion, nor in the used van market , this age van selll at around £3k.

I bought a van off a haulage operator a while ago, and he was telling me that he had a few Sprinters that had done over 750k miles and were still running perfectly.
