Got a job end of week, a wool carpet with large coffee staines (3 of em). There a few months old and the client has had a go with the good old 1001 ::) and defo made it worse (bleaching marks and burst pile).
Told them there aint much hope, if at all for any improvement let alone removal which they say is ok. Just wana know if there anything i can do for even just a 'slight' improvement.
Also there a small hallway by the bathroom (same carpet) and there are 4 small black marks dotted around. Tryied a few tests but no transfer, any idea what they culd be???
Cheers all

Rinse well with cold water, apply stain pro 10 min dwell rinse again, apply browning prescription 1-1 cold water, leave 20 mins rinse again, then the oxidising route or sod met

Hey Jason - saw you online - and thought to ask - how did u manage (did u?) to remove the coffee from a wool carpet ?
i'd be very happy if u can advise me : )
had a job today - a 20 inch coffee spot - old enough - had some coffee remover from worldofclean - unfortunately didn't do the job :( 25 % is still visible
im quite new to carpet cleaning - and don't have a clue how to remove such stains
thanks a lot

you'll probably need a reducer like chemspecs "Spray and go"

If the piles burst and its bleached its too late, you wont recover it.

Whats the chances he will remember a job from 2010.

Jason, if you've never used/applied Sod Mets before i strongly suggest you don't practice on your customers carpet, unless you want to buy her a new one. This stuff can go wrong VERY quickly.

This thread was over 2 years ago so cant remember the actual job or what i did at that time sorry.
Sometimes you'll only improve at best, depends on a few factors. Just dont promise the client too much or they'll expect miricals.
Merry Christmas all by the way :D
