With your back problems, are you going to be able to lift a 25 litre can of water high enough and then lower it gently into the cage?

I also thought the height was a issue.

ive got my father in laws orginal peter fogill trolleys that doesnt get used anymore . only trouble is it has no pump or battery  but it holds 2 25 litre containers.
if your looking for a cheaper way to start i pretty sure he wouldnt want much for it. and you dont have to lift the containers  so high and i am sure you could modify it a bit to take an all in one pump/battery box .

cheers for that wally - i didnt know the windex show this year was in africa.

Funny story: I used to work in Africa and I learned to speak Arabic ... broken Arabic.

It's an interesting language. For one thing, plurals are made by adding vowels inside a word. The same sort of thing as mouse/mice, man/men and so on. For another thing, they don't have words for your, my, his, her etc. They put endings on words to show ownership.

The end result of this is that the word for window is shubak and windows is shubabik. The word for young person is shab, young people is shabab and your young people is shababik. Very close, as you can see.

I was a teacher and someone asked me how were my young people (= pupils). I was puzzled why he should ask me about my windows, but I told him that they needed cleaning.

The translated conversation was:

Him: Ahh. You are a teacher. How are your young people?

Me: (Looking a bit puzzled, but I often was in Africa.) Errr. They need cleaning.

Him: Pardon?

ME: (Suddenly realising my mistake) Oh, I mean they are excellent. Very clever and very quick.

Him: Oh. Err. Very good. (Exit stage left, looking perplexed!!!!)

Got a holding tank at home that i can refill the drums if need be.
Fit a big tank to the van i hear you say ? nah the make up of my run suits me the way i have it.

i use a freedom trolley, with a remote control,  i upgraded the signal for this with a 315MHz Reduced Height Helical  Antenna with a bulk head sma connector,  an now there is no flat spots in the signal so it turns of an on without any issues,  i find this helps save on water waste,   see a big part with trolleys is water usage , so the remote does the on/off now next trick is i got 1mm jets fitted to my slx brush,  this made a huge difference,  when i first started with standard trolley i was use in between 8-10 drums a day,  now due to tinkering about i use between 4-5 for the same work.  so with this in mind less water to take less wear an tear on the motor eg fuel brakes etc.   four drums fit in my boot of my estate and the 5th sits behind front passenger seat in the foot well.  i use a small boot organiser for spare brush, wfp tool kit, gg3, etc , i use a small ratchet strap to secure drums in boot and a long bungee to hold trolley in place while driving. the slx pole is held on roof by some sky pole holder that fit to the roof rack bars, i also carry a old winspray bag that holds my con roof cleaning kit, ive got a nice sign written uniform, some door magnets for the car,

Since I scrapped the van I''m using the car and a small box trailer.
I feel a bit safer than I did carrying the containers in the van.
I made a small roof rack for the trailer, I carry my trolley and ladder on this.

Hi there,

Where did you get the pole holders that fit on your roof rack?

Cheers

prowindow the jets were from cleantech there not on the website but if you phone and ask they will do them, they do moan at me for have in to do it, but they still make them,  the ionic colour filter would do for low tds. ive got high tds but i still get 10+ con roofs out of it, one clean pays for filter  then the rest is profit.

gordon, the link you want,

That's a really nice, simple set up that you've got there, smithy.

I particularly like the conservatory kit. You've inspired me to put one of my own together - and to tidy up my act in general.

there is no excuse for a dirty car or van, same for messy unorganized inside the motor, i think a clean tidy van or car tells customers something about you. i use pure water to clean mine every few days or in winter every day,
