Hi. Trying to plan my advertising budget. At this stage I managed to take a 7 lines box in Yellow Pages and I am looking at some local newspapers. I am based in NW London. Can anyone advise me what else should I use as a marketing strategy? How could I benefit from a website, as I offer a local service?
Thank you

In my opinion a website is a very good way of getting new business, but only if you submit it to the search engines, google adwords is excellent because you can use words that your business wants, such as: cleaners in London, London cleaners, if you choose the words carefully it does work, then you set a price per click, obviously for the words I have mentioned, the cost per click will be quite high to get you on the first page. You then have a daily budget, when this is reached you will no longer be listed until the next day.
Submit the website to as many search engines as possible, some will list you straight away others will take a few months, get the keywords right, these are words that are written into the structure of the site (html)
I run my website myself, I have a control panel provided by my web host, I can see my site statistics any time of the day or night, I view what words people entered into the search engine’s to view my site, how many visits etc, sorry to bore you!
But it does work.

Thank you Paul, I am quite new in the world of websites so every little advice helps. I will start to prepare all the material then to look for someone to help me with the design.
