I have some titan 3.5 meter triple extenders which i bought new in November,I had the intention of going trad, but ended up wfp, anyway the ladders only been used 5 times a most, not got a roof rack on van,and am reluctant to put one on because of added height and fuel consumption.I will need ladders occasionally when doing gutter clears or awkward conny roofs,am thinking of getting a set that will fit in a swb tranny.Do you think i will end up needing these big ladders and regret selling them. ???

HELL NO! SELL EM! ;) get some money back m8 ;D

I have 3.5 doubles and rarely use them, anything over this height is cheery picker, either sell them or chop them down to what you need in size ;)

how did the hairdressers go?
went well thanks, they were pleased, but have decided to let it go,I got into this game to have my kids more (seperated from ex) and already the hairdressers was becoming a problem with that.I can have the kids at short notice i.e if they are ill,or in school hols etc, often have them for long weekends if ex goes away, thats on top of having them on my regular night at weekends and mon and tuesday in the week, but we often swap about.Even this monday was going to be impossible(supposed to clean hairdressers every mon and thurs before opening at 9) because i have the kids all this weekend, and after school run it would of been at least 9.45 before i could get!! Anyway,I am going to stick to my origional plan of domestic only,a lot more flexibility in that for now, thats until kids are older. p.s this job came to me i never went looking for a commercial job, thought i would give it a try,but decided the time is not right

have been thinking about this, the ladder guides at the top,or the hook thing that you put on the rungs when you extend the ladder at the bottom would get chopped off,so cannot do it,I do not fancy bodging it :o

i had a tripple ladder once and the top hooks were bolted on
-
never had a problem with ours, we just cut them down drilled new holes to re-position brackets and bobs you uncle. ;D
We also cut down the 1st (narrow) section of triples to about 6 foot, they now fit inside the van and are great for hopping over gates with as we dont need to unclamp the ladders to get over a gate when we dont need them to clean the windows (mostly wfp now) but we always carry ladders just in case.
hope this helps
