These guys have taken quite a lot of work away from my mate who has his own traditional round- is it because they are cheaper ? And is it the way forward because i am hoping to start up on my own but have not got the funds for this water fed system?

It's cheaper than you think to get set up with wfp, especially if you can get second hand stuff from here or ebay etc.I got started up with a backpack and everything to go with it new,for about £500.Having said,I have nothing against trad and still have quite a few customers who insist on it.For right or wrong,it's their call at the end of the day.I did a nice £40 quote yesterday as it happens where they would only agree to it if I did their windows trad.Their reasons didn't make a lot of sense to me and I tried to tell them how good wfp was but they insisted and I'm not in a position to turn work like that down.

I have a mate that uses the pole system, and he seems to get on well with it. close to where I work sometimes there are two guys using the pole system and are totally useless, and over the past year I have picked up a lot of their work. So it's a case of; it's as good as the person doing it.
