How do you guys with mobile washers (Not trailer mounted) work your water feed?
The general consensus is that letting the pump "suck" the water will shorten the pump life, so whatever solution I use I will be putting a tank outlet at the bottom & letting the water gravity feed into the washer.
I've seen people using wheelie bins or 200 litre barrels with the top cut off,.. (I have a spare wheelie bin I could use) but I was wondering if there is a better/more professional solution? I know a wheelie bin even half full of water is hard to move, and a barrel is near impossible.
Any ideas are appreciated.

I have just had to renew my pump but it lasted for about 10 years sucking the water from a 50litre butt, against gravity. I find it the best way of doing it

the tech clean machines are suction pumps so dont need gravity feed according to jan.

What pumps are on them?
My new machine has an interpump one,.. and its coming from the supplier setup for sucking out of a barrel.
I'm thinking a square water tank on 4 wheels (with a handbrake!) would be a good solution,.. just got to figure out where to get one.

Bigger wheels would be nice, but apart from that they look perfect!

Used to use a wheelie bin before i mounted my set-up it in the van. I had a drain tap in the bottom and a float set up to monitor the water level from a distance.
