a window cleaners been following me doing my round today. knocking on only the houses i have done and saying " i notice you have had your windows cleaned. No matter what he charges i will beat it ". Its one thing canvasing and offering your services to folk but targeting like this is a bit off!
Only reason i found out was i came home to several messages off me custy's telling me they came to them. One seen them watching us, waited for us to finishand drive off and then appraoch the house we just done. Hav to be honset i didn't see them at all but then i dont look around to see if i am being followed.

what a scum bag! makes your blood boil! i lost a custy this week, drove past his house and there was another wfp there! just happened to be doing a neighbour that backed on to the property and watched his technique, was absolutely shocking! like a monkey with a pole! no rinsing mind you!
rang the cust just to find out the score and hes a friend of family who undercut me from £20 per 8 weeks to £10 every 4 weeks. i dont think he will be here for long if he doesnt even bother to rinse!
what can you do with undercutters? just got to bite your lip and carry on!
anyone got any good ideas on how to deal with them in a non violent illegal way?

he never really undercut you 10 quid 4 weekly is the same as 20 quid 8 weekly

no its not! hes doing twice the work for the same price.

but you both will have the same amount of money after a year and he will be much quicker and get away with no rinsing as he does it that often.
anyway wasnt trying to offend i hate losing work whatever the situation so i know how it feels

to stu, he might be slightly quicker in that there will be less dirt, but not by a huge amount, ive had this argument with a cust, she wants it from 8 weeks to 4 weeks and from £20 to £10 and just doesnt understand that i will be losing out! i have to go twice now including travelling time to do it, so basically the second time for free. she cancelled when i said i would do it for £15 instead.

sorry mate i agree with you i wouldnt do fortnightly at half price either, all my work is 4 weekly well most of it. and i dont take much more for 8 weekly. in fact just ignore everything i said as i was talking rubbish ;D i just meant money wise you are both making the same amount but yes you are right he is working harder for it

i wouldnt worry mate if your well established and do a good job and are not overpriced.you shouldnt lose any to this clown!!he obviously has no idea how to build a professional window cleaning service if he s pulling these kind of stunts!!

no its not the same....£20 8 weekly is one clean....... £10 - 4 weekly..... gives the customer 2 cleans for the price of one.

It is well out of order but if you have a good customer base and you do a good job then you have nothing to worry about ;D

maybe we should name and shame em? thats the only thing we can really do? but then you cant have any shame in the first place to do something like that?

Follow him on his round... hit a couple.... then ask him if he likes it ;)
