Title: Lead staining on glass roof
Post by: MNWC on March 17, 2010, 08:03:44 am
Just cleaned a conny glass roof with lead flashing at the top edge

Where the rain has ran on the flashing and down the glass its left a grey/green stain that wont come off with wfp.

any ideas what i should use to get these off ?

No idea here. TFR won't touch it. Neither will harpic 100% limescale remover.

i used  wet and dry paper (used wet) to get that off. then buffed with t-cut .  i used 400 grit wet and dry paper and as soon as i could see the glass coming through, eased off, using worn paper only .     i made a point of selling it as a special job, not as part of the clean
