thats not very good... u would get soaked! :P ;D
-
So what they are saying I have to were a rain coat if I am planning to have a accident.
What is of interest the tank is braking up.
-
i dont get why it is in reverse, i dont drive in reverse
-
I seen the crash tested tank in the flesh today, hardly a scratch on it, most of what you can see in the vid is dust,
have a look at the bulk head in the first fail at about 43 seconds, see the engine bay bulkhead ripped apart just by the sheer force of the escaping water.
also see how the mounting brackets rip through the floor, after seeing that, I would only ever have a crash tested system fitted
-
Ionic sell their systems on the back of the crash test, going on about the clamp. Does Alex's new system have clamps?
And what is better, a Thatcham test or a Mira test, or doesn't it matter?
-
thought thatcham was alarms and security only ???
-
pity gardiners arn't at windex....wouldn't of minded seeing the system

May be they don`t need to be,may be constant pushy pushy sales men can put some people off and may be Alex just relies on quality made for window cleaners by window cleaners thats just my guess
-
maybe i want to see it :P

Then take a trip down to St Austell :P

Or maybe they just can't afford it ;D ;D ;D
Fair play to gardiners, this crash test looks good. I'd like to see some sort of certificate of compliance or something.
I remember that joker from brodex came on here going on about their not very amazing crash test, and we had to take his word for it that it was done at the speed he claimed (which personally I HIGHLY DOUBTED). He promised to put the mira report on the website etc, and it was never done. Very dubious if you ask me, left more questions than it answered.
This gardiner one does look better though, like I say, I think its a good thing.
If I was a newbie considering buying now, I'd be thinking its either Ionics or gardiners, nobody else.

it looks good....but not that good! :P

Going back to the first fail, although it was there first attempt, they believed it was better fitted than most of there competitors.
-
david was the first fail, a few tanks fitted together
-
to be honest i looked at the 810 delivery unit for around 2k. to have a crash tested fitted system at that cost is a no brainer really
-
They are modular tanks connected together, exactly the same tanks, but slightly modified for the following tests.
The scary bit is the bulk head tearing open, that happened with nothing more than the force of water.
-
has anyone or does anyone know of anyone thats has a serious crash with a system in the back of there van whether it be crash tested equipment or not and what were the results???
-
david, why does the van go in reverse, surely it should go forward to be tested
-
Its not in reverse that is the recoil from the dead stop.
-
cheers
i have just never seen a crash video thats all
-
In plain English it simulates a 30mph dead stop, i think it takes a 1/3 rd of a second ?
-
Wow, this is really good. A crash tested system at good prices. I paid more than the 810L system for a 650L system over 3 years ago and it wasn't crash tested. The only thing that could possibly be missing is a hot water add on, I'm sure that's coming soon though, I hope. When I update my truck, it's a no brainer. In fact at those prices with the crash testing you have to ask is it even worth going diy. I wouldn't mind a little more detail on the system though, like what are the dials for ect. Shame Alex isn't on here.
Simon.
-
would be good to see what happens if it actually hit something at 30....
-
Looks like a nice system, and good to see it will not kill you. Alex as with all his own products will sell loads and fair play to him.. Prices seem cheap, bet ionics are shaking now as there USP has now gone
-
The dials are 2 controllers, a pressure guage, tds in and tds out.
The ports are 2 to reels , fill, auto flush, waste.
The Ro has 2 massive pre filters, look at least 5 litres each.
-
Thanks Dave, all makes sense now, pictures are for a full ro setup not just delivery which is what I'd need.
Do you know if Alex is experimenting with hot at all?
Simon.

Can't see the link for crash-test video.
That isn't to say it isn't there, of course, oh no; I normally get my wife to look for things for me...
Vin
They are not there at the moment, they have been taken down, not sure why.

Hi, mates.
Finally, I am visiting Alex in St Austell. I am so happy!! A lot of emotions.
Now going from the hotel to his office to see his team, products and systems. Alex will pick me up in 15 minutes. Yesterday we had brilliant English dinner in with his family. Great.
Tomorrow will see some of you in Coventry.
Warmest regards from Cornwall and Russia.

Can't figure out why the DI option over the delivery only option is £600 extra. Must be some DI vessel.
Best wishes to Vadim, have an enjoyable visit.
