I just used this to do a quote over the phone for a customer.
Shame you cannot see the back though but with the help of the customer explaining the back of the house, you can get a rough idea, and highlight the back access from the image.
Saves S**t loads of time

i like that,very good idea!
-
no more wasted journeys top tip ;D ;D
-
I don't know whats happened, but whenever I try and access Google earth it has the UK blanked out.
Anyone else have this problem?
-
just make sure you take into consideration the time lag in updated images. They might have whacked a massive extension on the back! We use it regularly for a idea of height etc. :)
-
yeah ive been toying with this idea, but you can only see the front :(

I love it, used it to price up this place yesterday (McCaulay's)

its very handy yes,/ i also used it to look at some chewing gum i had stuck above somebodys door knocker
-
hi good idea but i find its not 100% accurate tho - had a look at a few of my customers houses and the door numbers are wrong on a few, apart from that its good.
as i was looking around a few customers houses i have seen my van a load of times!
-
yea, the numbers a little muddled.
Got round this by zooming into the door to see the true door number.
