Just a question really. I have just received an ionics brochure and there stuff looks great. Do ionics users get less complaints than diy users based on cleaning quality and do ionics users find that the machines are fairly fail safe due to colour changing filters and such. Is the water quality better. Just a thought rumbeling around in my head so I had to let it out.

pure water is pure water,no matter how its made, certain systems produce water quicker than others and some have better waste to pure ratios. Its all about rinsing the window properly in my opinion.

i think its down to the user too if you want a fairly maintenance free life with ur system then go for ionics i cant comment on a diy system as i dont have one but i presume its extra hassle having to change resin etc when required

yr right on the button there lad ;D

Pure water is pure water as said but hot pure water is better than cold pure water and in some cases the results are better with hot.
-
you get good and bad trad and wfp users. it is 100 % down to the user.

Dont get sucked into the sale pitch of ionics brochure. My friend

I for one would like to know how these companies can comment on D I Y systems when they have no contact with these chats who use D I Y systems or other makes dont beleive every thing you here. they need to sell there products and some times make claims that are quite stupid.

does evry one think they would go for an ionics system if they lowered there price to a reasonable figure i got mine second hand for £2700 iv found they are very expensive for replacement parts etc but iv got to say i am happy with it.
on a diy system how do people backwash there systems etc???
-
stop posing lad its all down to operator lol

It is amazing how these so called systems claim to be better when all the components are made by the exact same components are use in diy systems. They can only be unique when they produce all there own components in there own factories. They are basically assemblers of these components and believe me its not rocket science.

ionics filters ARE manufactured in their factory and not just bought off the shelf, I've seen it being done.

next your going to say that hot pure water is nore acidic than cold so more damage can be done using it, not to meantion the breaking windows, the melting of the plastic and the bending of the glass that hot water does!!!!!!!!! ok ok more acidic it is, better no quicker maybe..

You forgot to mention the dissolving brickwork and the subsidence problems.

I find it interesting that ionics are selling a window cleaning trolley on ebay for £446.50, plus £15 p&p, which is identical to others also being sold on ebay for £225.00 plus £6.50 p&p. this is more or less double.
Gues who I wont be buying from ;D

Other than the tank,i have replaced absolutely every component of my Ionics system over time. Results are the same, parts were cheaper and i have it set up how i want it. Has been more grief than the diy in my other van.

We have a flush tap on the waste pipe, which we flush for 10-15 everyday.

A wise man is a man who knows value with out looking at the price tag. This is based on his knowledge of the product. Your own research will pay dividends. Modern marketing is designed to pull the wool over ones eyes, its clever marketing. They know there subject, do you know enough to make a educated decision.
A fool and his money is easly parted.
