Post by: sparklebright on March 14, 2010, 04:55:45 pm
Anyone on here done this?

When my vans dies I am pondering doing this, looks like a cheap way of getting decent van

But is there any nasty surprises?
I guess it comes down to reading the small print.

if u dont keep it well low u will pay n pay well. the other thing is ur always payin out 4it, but

That's 12k,  what are the benefits of this lease purchase as to buying one with a loan?

You can get more of tax and the down side if you dont look after it or cut holes in the body its going to cost you more.

How can you get more off tax?

Both are 100% tax deductable, infact if you buy you can use the full value in that year!

It can only be more of a tax relief if it costs more to do in the first place surley? which would defeat that point.

A new van could be cheaper than 12k but once you have paid the cost of the loan....

As for tax relief, it depends how much profit you need to eliminate doesn't it? If you've had a fantastic year then maybe. But with lease purchase the tax relief is spread out.

Not sure still investigating and will speak to the accountant, cheers
