Post by: daz1977 on March 12, 2010, 07:53:08 am
hi i recently upgraded from a 600 psi pump to a 100 psi pump and to be honest i dont like it seems to use to much water,  is there a way i can turn it down, , or is it back to the 60 psi

Have you got a pump controller?

I hope you meant 60 not 600!! :)

When I first started, I went from a 60 psi pump to a 100 psi  with  varistream digi controller and never looked back

Put an on/off valve between the water tank and the pump. Close it until you get the ideal flow. Having it here puts less pressure on the pump.

Got nothing to do with the psi mate, that's just the pressure that the pressure switch cuts off at. It's all about the flow rate of the pump, you may get a 60psi with more flow rate than a 100psi.
And as someone already mentioned, some sort of flow controller will do it
