Title: tight wads
Post by: Scrimble on March 11, 2010, 07:34:53 pm
been doing a lot of posting flyers this week and had a fair few people asking for quotes

its pretty obvious the more money some people have the less they wanna pay to have clean windows,

think im gonna not aim for the big houses with flashy cars on the drives anymore

you are spot on there - ive one house has a new silver merc and the koi ponds and laundry maid etc but im treated like a serf when i arrive " what do YOU want?" /as if im a beggarboy  selling pegs . but they never remember how much is my price so ive put it up by a quid each time  as a payback.   at the rear of the house i came across dozens of wasps feeding out of the dogs food bowl,so i covered the bowl with a baking tray . maybe when they lifted the tray off they got a nasty suprise

I had a premiership footballer go 2 monthly as he didn't want to pay the monthly price. Couldn't believe it when I found out who he was.

The ones with lots of money are usually the tight ones with their cash.

Good to hear your getting the quotes in though Mark.

Try more on the areas you already work, the more you can get in the streets you already work the better.

I think this works 2 ways,   people in big/flashy houses are wary that people are out to rip them off   so automatically start to try and drive the price down believing it is already overpriced.

also - big house, flash motor = big mortgage, high CC bills, huge council tax etc...

but prob have less ready's in their hands than the average w/c... :o
