I arnt after getting one. And have lots of training lined up and reaserch to do before choosing a machine. Just thought I would ask whats the problem with them. On a review website of Rug Doctor hire. People that had hired them seemed to love the outcome. I hired one once and was rather impressed with the results. Ok one of the coffee stains didnt come out, and it was December so I nearly froze to death at night as I had to leave the windows open all night to help with drying. It sure was loud, heavy and slow going. But isnt that a sign of quality. Never seen a Puzzi so someone will have to tell me about them. I am sure the training will help me learn the truth about quality and crap.

Puzzi = Sinclair C5
Rug Docter = Sinclair C5 with a posh sticker on it ;D
Twin Vac Porty = Landrover Discovery 4
Triple Vac Porty = Range Rover Sport (Sorry to be biased)
Truck Mount = From light aircraft to Jumbo Jet ;D

you've just answered your own question, would you pay a professional to be put through that?
do your training then read your posts again. :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[ :-[

My Rug Doctor blew up on me the other day I was working 5 floors up in a bed sit.
Hired a puzi and it had no noticiable suck but the waste tank was full when I finished.
recovery rate is also good on Rug Doctor , but I would only use it for parts i cannot reach

Jim
You said of the Rug Doctor you hired "It sure was loud, heavy and slow going. But isnt that a sign of quality".
A truckmount is loud, heavy and FAST going - that is a sign of quality. and the crpets will be dry in hours, not the next day - another sign of quality.
Why would a client pay you to use a Rug Doctor when they can go to B&Q and hire one themselves and cost less then you.
Clients want something different for their money.
Whens your course? You wont see a Rug Doctor in sight.

Hi Jim,
You will learn more from Roger in a day than you will learn on Month of training courses or discussions on here. You truly are privileged. Listen to the way he talks to his customers and the way he coducts himself generally.

Hey Westy
Remember that client with all the computer gear?
I found out what he does. He's a professor working in a university and has done a lot of work (also commercially) developing computing equipment for people who are visually impaired.
What's really interesting is I have another client who is doing the same thing but coming from a different angle-and I don;t think they know about each other.
It's a small world, or a large world, depending upon how you look at it.
Hope things are working out well for you.

Don't quite know how I'm going to cope when work levels actually do pick up as the weather improves. (probably have to put my prices up again) :)-try and edge it up to what some of the big boys charge. ;D ;D
I've also just picked up some nice jobs over in Liverpool as well. Not too sure how I'll deal with all the travelling. :'(

English was not an English invention...............it's a mixture of Norse, German, Anglo Saxon, Latin and French. I think the Irish version was introduced from Scotland.
Spelling and grammar has been sorely neglected over the past 30 odd years by socialist politicians inflicting their sad " everyone's equal " policies on our schools.

Ha ha Rob
Nice to see intwalectual voicing his opinions. How u keeping fella?

Friday night spelling and grammar should never be confused with normal conversation !!!!!!!!!!!!You're correct about spelling and grammer not being what it used to be but in many cases it's touching the wrong key when typing although in most cases the fault of a ruined education system which once led the world.
As you know the Irish and Northern Scots were Gaelic speakers which gradually gave way to Norse and Germanic influence resulting in Old Scots which still exists to some extent in the North East of Scotland which eventually became modern English elsewhere............
There was a forced emmigration of many thousands of Scots into Northern Ireland in the 1700's which I understand had a major effect in the introduction of the English language into Ireland.

Hi Dave
It's not part of my master plan for world domination. :)
My parents are getting on and it'll make life easier to see on a more regular basis if I'm doing the odd job over there.
You fancy meeting up sometime anyway for a beer? Or are you going to either Carpex or CCDO?

"Take Credit For Your Business -or- how to raise finance" (gedit?)
What does a bank look for when assessing your request for finance. (Customer) "How do I stand for a loan?" (Bank) "You don't, you grovel ;D"
Seriously, I'm explaining how they assess your request. If you know what they are looking for then you stand a better chance of making a better presentation. Secondly, I'll be looking at the different forms of finance and which is best for whatever you are trying to finance.

Born and bred a Scouser for 22 years (still am but just in exile. Thankfully i can say in Stockport and not M**chester.) Mum and Dad still live just off Menlove Avenue.
PM me with your mobile/email and we'll fix up for an early evening beer. You're down near Grassendale off Aigburth Road, aren't you?

Steve
Van (or should I say the ambulance), is nearly 11 years old. Servicing and welding costs about £700 to £800 a year (or about 3 months payments if i was to upgrade to a new van).
Still gets me to jobs :)
Still gets me new work enquiries ;D ;D
I'll try and root out an even worse piccie which I have somewhere.

I think it tells a picture, customers will see you as a down to earth reasonably priced cleaner who will focus on cleaning not by charging excessive amounts. (how wrong they were :o)
