Title: Water quality question
Post by: lozsing on March 10, 2010, 08:38:26 pm
New to wfp. Just started up , got 40-40 Ro and  6L resin bottle. Been at it for 3 weeks, produced about 10000 litres so far. Producing at about 1L a minute. The tds has been reading 000 constant till now just started to read 001. Is this normal , should i be looking at a resin change so soon. or what would you let your tds go to before changing.

Hi mate,

First of all I advise you to check you DI water productivity at http://www.cleantech.co.uk/tdscalc.htm inserting your tap water.

Of course, you should correct "RO+DI Produces"/25ltr*6ltr

For a example, in case you have 400ppm tap water you could produce 10,000ltr of 0ppm DI water with RO+6ltr DI vessel.

regards,

Vadim

My water at the tap is 320 , after RO its 020 after Di its 001 , I have produced 10000 litres since starting up with all new stuff , the Di bottel is 6L. Would you say i am due a resin change so soon.

Formula: 6*20,000/20=6,000 ltr of 0ppm water.

Yes, you have to change DI resin.  Sorry.

Vadim
