Title: Advice on Poly shag pile twist
Post by: garyfindlay on March 10, 2010, 06:56:46 pm
looking for advice on above. Carpet was pure white polyprop shag pile twist with a plastic honeycomb backing. I cleaned using lm, and hand tool on the stains. Could I use a normal HWE, or will the underlay be wet? Did try a normal clean ok in a small bedroom, but this lounge was a 50p shape, with carpet stuck to underlay, in places, and not grippered/tacked down.It also had a band of red carpet round the edges. Also on the carpet was a grey patch I could not shift. later found out it was a jeans mark. What could I have used? And can you use reducing agents etc on a polyprop?

Clean with HWE using Ultrapac renovate pre-spray.
The denim dye try red rx, pre test first in a corner.
