Title: Putty On Windows

Just been asked to do a builders clean, the lady says there is lots of putty on her beautiful old windows and don't want them scratched in any way!  :-\ Has anyone know a good way to get the putty off ( I expect there are small cement splashes too). Thanks alot guys  ;) ;) ;)

as the main ingredient is linseed oil white spirits will dissolve it. Saopy water after that.
