Sunny is the best time most people feel alive.Business is tuffer as more fellows doing window in my area. They have the problem not me. Its not how little I will do for my money, but its how much.I never drop prices but will always deliver on top results.
I do find I have to chase for payments.People this it peanuts we earn but when they pay slowly it adds up.

Yep its the weather... compared to last month it feels like summer (or has the past few days)

People notice how dirty their windows are when the sun shines on them, hence now is a good time to pick up new work.
Like Wizard I hold out for the price I want, although I do explain that the price includes wiping the frames and washing the sills every time. That usually sells it to them. If they don't like the price, I politely tell them that I will leave it with them if they wish to think about it.
I personally don't find 'competition' a problem. Customers are free to choose their window cleaner and I get on well with most of the other window cleaners I meet. :)

folk are still seeing its a recession and wanting extra value for their hard-earned dosh. if they hesitate on my price ,i throw in that i will do their inside kitchen main window for free . that takes but only a few minutes or so but more important can lead to doing the whole insides on later visits.

If it seems to be an issue, I hold out for my price but promise not to increase it for x time so long as inflation stays in single figures.
If that swings it, it can usually indicate that they are intending to be a custie for the longer term.

Yes it is. Those who like their homes and windows clean get "springclean-itis" - even me!
