Just browsing on WCW website and came across the POLAR-VAC at £575 plus vat) - any feedback? It appears to use a wetvac plus hose and nozzle which you use a standard wfp pole to work with.

Evening malc,
I've a vac system & a pressure wash one. Used the vac 3 times & the pressure wash countless in the last 3 years.
The vac will only empty whereas the pressure wash will empty & sort out fascias/soffits & external gutters. Plus I get the owners to close vents & gives all the windows a once over. Whole house comes up good, looks impressive. I price £15 a length to empty & £20 to wash.
Plus it's easier to store the pressure washer. (20 meters of 50mm hose takes up some space.

:) I'm the other way. Got a vac and jet wash. Used the vac countless times and jet washed the gutters once. ;D
I found the mess with a pressure washing lance was unbelievable - cack blasted everywhere - over the windows, over me and over next door. The only time I use it now is for the gutter clips now and again or for jetting a downpipe through with a drain jetter. Having unblocked a few downpipes lately I feel neither the vac or a gutter cleaning jet can cope with the s bend if it's blocked.
I had one downpipe that went off like i'd struck oil the other day :o It was blocked right at the bottom because the moss and crud were rammed against the soakaway mesh. Twenty feet of black water on top of that just waiting to go off.

I have just bought a 7.3m extendable lance...great for the job and easy enough to use as well when you get to know how it kicks,but i have noticed a site that sells 2m extension lances and was thinking that this would just about be enough to reach a lot of fascias and soffits....has anyone else tried these length extensions?

Look for eastern trading one on ebay they are selling a great bit of kit for £500,i havent got the tubes from them but i do have the vac and i will honestly say it is very powerfull and could rip the skin off your face as it is so powerfull.heres the link below m8y!

At the moment you can probably mix and match. Buy the more powerful vac from Eastern Trading and the tools from Wcw.
Haven't tried sourcing the tools seperately from Omnipole - they do a nice looking aluminium nozzle that should last forever. Wouldn't fancy getting Glyn on the phone though. ;D

omnipole is overpriced what i can see and what i keep hearing about this Glyn,i don't think i would want to buy anything off him,whoever he is!

There is nothing wrong with Glyn, some people just cant afford to buy his products :P

i could afford but why bother when eastern is excellent,i go for value and with easterns gutter vac you certinally get that

Do you need a reducer or enlarger to connect a 51mm hose to the eastern vac machine.

There's only one system with a two year warranty!!! so WCW can sell with confidence.

The problem with system that wcw and eastern sell is I don't need all of the products, for instance
I already clean carpets and I have over 100' of 51mm hoses, so I don't need this.
I have various poles so I don't these.
The eastern vac is more powerful than the one that wcw sell.
and anything that you buy new from businesses are covered by consumer law.
What I only need is the vac and tools to fit on my poles.

Well thats what the polarvak is, a retro fit product, you get to use your pole, and hose if you choose, you can buy what ever part you like.

if you dont need the 51mm hose,give adrian a call at eastern and he will sort you out,he did me,i got vac and 30 metres for £280 delivered,bargain!
