Only job i have had this week, half way through upstairs and the pump stops, get to machine switch is still on,so not one of the kids turning it off, lift up front of machine bang it down, pump starts again,10 mins later does the same, carries on until i get to the downstairs, then it`s fine. This pump has hardly had any use, lthe last one lasted about 5 months, bought a new one which had a fault and had to go back, this was in Nov ish,now this one is going, doing my flipping head in,made £250 this morn, which won`t cover a new one :(

Did you p off a Gypsy at any point in your life? You must be the unluckiest CC on here. Its a close call between you and Darren O, but I think you just edge it.

Hi mark did you take the machine upstairs? either way this sounds like a loose wire connection if you banged it down and it goes ok. what machine, what pump is it also check the filter in the solution tank and clean or replace run 2 litres fresh hot water through it see what happens when you bounce it about a bit. just checked where you are if you were near i would have popped round and gone through it with ya

Sorry,it`s a Prochem steempro powermax, will have to check connections etc,no don`t take it upstairs, have long hoses.
My grandfather did !!! Won`t go into the sort of life i have had here, couldn`t make it up honestly.
Will stick a couple of ltrs of water through, see what happens, after i have checked wires,it`s a flojet i think, the sureflo one was a dud from Prochem.

Just had a look, the negative wire was down to a few strands, the wire could have done with being a bit longer,as the vac pipe runs close to it.there was also a slight kink in the input pipe, not enough to starve it,but wouldn`t be helping things

Wish i could afford it Clinton, work here has died on it`s arse, hemoraging money faster than it`s coming in.If the pump goes that will be me i think, has been fine today,so crossing everything it lasts for a few more months at least :(

How about buying a buffer for £100-200 and a few pads, if you have a decent vac , you are all set up for LM ,, then you only need your extractor for stairs and upholstery .
In you position that would make a lot of business sense.

Might be time to invest in a new set up mate a 3 vac portie and you could run it from the van or even not have to take the machine inoors mate.. :)
I need to set mine up in the next van I get, we're doing away with the Discovery and my work van for a van with crew seats providing I still have enough space.
Would you and anyone else who runs their porty from the van be able to supply pictures to daysdeepclean@msn.com Cheers! I take it you need to use a good quality extension lead to cope with the power...... ???

Think i may well do that, what sort of price p/sm do people charge for l,m,i am currenlty.28 p for h,w,e but think i might be too high on that.
Then i did a quote over the phone today, priced up at £210 + £50 for protecting lounge, other quote she had was over £400,i am happy with .30 p/sf on domestics,if they are not too grotty.
Turned a £35 job into an £85 pound job this morn, every little helps, was for a different letting agy,who don`t have a ccer on their books, managed to get stain out of the hall, they did think it was a replacement job,so brownie points for that, gave them a stack of buis cards and flyers

I charge same price as you for LM ,, My process is
Rake, vac, a lot of vaccing , prespay , brush in , sometimes, buff with damp pad, treat spots, pad again, rake , done.

Don't want to start the old prices debate but, Mark, @0.28p/ft this may be the reason why your not able to replace equipment etc. I charge more than that for commercial. Domestic prices start @0.45p/ft clean only. Mark,I know a number of CC's in your area who would be happy to give you help and advice, if you want, or can lower yourself, to hear it.
Before anyone jump's down my throat about prices I'm not going to get involved in a debate. :-X
