Thinking about getting a 0800 diverted to my mobile any recomendations
for good suppliers taking cost & service into consideration also anybody using
03 numbers how do you find them.
cheers Ryan
-
Global communications, the number is ported to your mobile, this also allows you to divert your landline to the mobile FREE , avoiding paying for the diverted portion of the call, this alone saves me £40/month.
-
Going to stop doing it to mobiles, only going to be diverted to a landline ,got letter on Saturday

Is that even for existing Global customers Rob ?

I have five 0800 numbers and still find that people would rather look for a local number and with a lot of callers using mobiles to call these days, 0800 numbers work out more expensive. I advertise my landline numbers first and the 0800 as an alternative but if I was asked the question I would say the 01 numbers are more effective.

The Global thing has now finished as was a limited thing (not for existing customers)
They sell you minutes now, 250 pounds worth for 150 pounds max.

Thanks Dave starting to worry

I took up the Global offer in January, with the promise of a no cost divert service to my mobile, you live and learn.
I'm still being charged full cost and as i already had an 0800 number it was the only reason I took up the offer, its a rip off so keep clear.
They are not answering any calls or emails ive sent and ive since found another topic about this company (wish id seen it first) where other telecom companies have said it would be unsustainable and mentioned they are in trouble with companies house and inland revenue.

What did the letter say that you had.
If they are changing it we feel we have been ripped off

sorry letter in office at work, letter was dated 19 of February and arrived on Friday 5th March saying due to cost only going to be diverted to landline because of cost. We paid on credit card and were promised free call for life etc. The problem would be if the went & what happens to our numbers

Mark called thursday & friday as I had searched the topic and you had
given good recomendations for global gave them a call found it strange
that they asked for a issue on a sales line as the word issue to me means
problem hope there is not as I dont like to see people lose out and the
deal looked good.

Hi all. I had nothing but trouble from global. I bought the 0800 number from them in December with the promise of a one off life time payment and paid by credit card. In January they took a total of £1300 from my card without my permission in 5 separate transactions. I tried to call no answer. When I did get through 2 days later they promised it would all be put back. 1 week later no money so I reported it to my card issuer as fraudulent and got the money returned by them. They are now investigating Global.
Strange thing is number still works, but it should because I never claimed that payment back as I did purchase it. >:(
