Title: Trailer pics
Post by: LWC on March 05, 2010, 08:01:30 am
Hello all, please can i see some of your trailer setups. After a long think i think im going to go down the route of a trailer. Ive been without my vehicle due to mot etc this week so not much work has been done! I thought if i had a hook on both vehicles it really wouldnt of mattered. Just use either one.

I'd stick with your van-mount mate. You have a newer van now don't you?

Sensai, It does no harm to have a belt and braces approach mate, I found myself in your position this week, my van is knackered but I could carry on working.
I an currently working on my trailer to make it more user friendly for WFP, it's a small box trailer, and I need to fit some kind of rack to the roof to carry my trolley,
I've already fitted the spare wheel carrier to the front of it, just need a trailer that will carry ten containers and all the gear, ideally I want nothing in the car except me and my butties. I am not carrying ladders either, I can leave a set on one estate where I need to access balconies, and a few jobs are going to be dropped.
I can afford to wait until a van pops up at the right price.
I will post a pic when it's complete.

Use a van mount now but my trailer is still up the side of the house.

Not a great over hang and the front ladder rack is adjustable so the ladders don't hit the back of the car when turning.
I first built it for taking stuff to the tip the sides were wood and no lid, then I converted it for wfp work, 250ltr tank and room for all your other gear, its now made from metal and I made the lid with a friend out of steel sheet so I could lock it securely and even fitted an alarm system to it.

Sorry Gazza it sits at he side of the house and is there in case of emergency's, beside's I wouldn't even know were to start for a price.
