Title: fill float valve
Post by: Richy L on March 02, 2010, 12:58:52 pm
Do any of you  guys use one of these when filling your tanks?

I'm thinking of getting one as I'm fed up of worrying as my tank fills incase it overflows!

Can anyone recommend one?

Thanks

Richy

I mean for filling your tank from the tap.
... Like a toilet, so the tank doesn't overflow.

Yes I use a mini plastic float valve in my 500L tank with a male hozelock on the outside of the tank, works fine, for filling from a submersible tank in the IBC, but you do lose a bit of capacity at the top of the tank.

in time you will know what time to start filling your tank so it never over flows...

and getting a tank larger than your needs helps. ;)

but good idea above post

I converted a washing machine solenoid valve and have it plugged into a timer
