Ive got 1, had it fitted in both vans for 4 years, fantastic. Got a digital timer fitted with multiple time settings.
My van never gets a frost on it, the system will never freeze.

did you fit it yourself if not can you tell me the cost of fitting cheers.

My mate used to fit them for a living so got it done for free.
It only took him about 3hrs though.

Hi Cleartech,
have you got your heater fired up yet? Where did it come from? The reason why I ask is that I have recently bought a Thermo Top Z from a BMW X5 but can't get it working. Webasto in Doncaster say that they are vehicle specific, so the BMW heater will only work the BMW it comes from. It communicates with the main vehicle ECU and if they don't recognise each other, the Webasto will not fire up. Audi, BMW (not sure about Rover) all use different control units. It is similar technology that car radios now use for security.

Hi No Ladders,
I see that the electronic switch timer/controller on the Thermo top is now model 1533 which can only be set to run for an hour max and then has to be reset.
How does yours work? Will an ordinary on/off switch work or do you keep having to reset the controller during the day. I believe that the initial fire up occurs when pin 1 is given a 12v current supply, but someone said that he thought that the controller then kept a lesser voltage to that pin 1 of 7v.
Thanks
